Determined, dependable, and surprisingly fluffy, the Celestial Buddies Lucky Stars Capricorn Buddy is a cute zodiac plush bag charm inspired by Deneb Algedi, the brightest star in the constellation Capricornus. This cloud-white star plush has shaggy fur and two little gray goat horns, ready to climb any mountain alongside the hardworking Capricorn who carries it.
Clip it to a backpack, purse, or keys with its star-shaped clip, then read the card to meet the star at the tip of the sea-goat's tail.
Meet your star: Deneb Algedi
The astronomy: Deneb Algedi is about 39 light-years away, close by cosmic standards. It's actually a pair of stars, and every 25 hours or so one passes in front of the other, making the star dim slightly.
The mythology: Capricornus is the sea-goat, half goat and half fish. In Greek myth, the god Pan leapt into a river to escape the monster Typhon and turned half fish as he dove. The sea-goat image is even older, dating back to ancient Babylon.
The name: Deneb Algedi comes from Arabic for "the tail of the goat."
